Question: What does the Bible mean by being equally yoked?

Basically, it means dont marry someone who isnt the same religion or who does not share the same religious beliefs. In other sections of the bible, it says the unbelieving spouse becomes a believer by proximity to the believing spouse(1 Corinthians 7:14 and (1 Peter 3:1–6).

What does the Bible say about being equally yoked in marriage?

II Corinthians 6:14 (KJV) says, “Be ye not unequally yoked with unbelievers. . .” It doesnt say relationships, it doesnt say marriage but its implication is that of any relationship with another person. A relationship with another person could be a marriage.

What does it mean to be yoked together in the Bible?

When oxen are unequally yoked, they cannot perform the task set before them. Instead of working together, they are at odds with one another. So what does that have to do with biblically being unequally yoked? There are many unequally yoked Bible verses, but lets examine just a couple of them.
