Why is Ivy League a big deal?
Ivy League schools are often seen as symbols of elitism because they attract students who come from legacies of wealth, but they offer some great financial aid packages to disadvantaged students because of their large endowments. Ivies represent some of the most selective and well-known colleges in the country.
Is the Ivy League harder?
Ivy League coursework will be difficult, but it will likely be difficult at most schools, especially with a pre-med track or neuroscience major. Having a perfect or near-perfect GPA will be difficult, but if it means a lot to you to attend an Ivy, then you should.
